The Elder Scrolls 6 Currently Not In Development Says Bethesda

On Twitter, Bethesda'southward Pete Hines has stated that the studio isn't currently working on The Elder Scrolls half dozen.

Following Bethesda'due south E3 briefing, Geoff Keighley talked to Bethesda's executive producer and game manager, Todd Howard, who confirmed that a new Elder Scrolls, The Elder Scrolls six, volition be released, merely that it's still "a very long way off".

Following his response, Bethesda's VP was asked whether this was because of The Elder Scrolls Online, but according to Hines this isn't the care as the studio is currently working hard "ii other major titles".

When his statement was questioned, Hines responded that he'south not lying, and that he just wants to manage people'south expectations and clear up "misconceptions".

During Bethesda's ain E3 briefing several new titles were appear, including id Software'south 'Quake Champions', Arkane'due south 'Prey', a VR version of Fallout 4, and a remastered version of Skyrim for PC, Xbox 1, and PS4.
